01. The Problem
The Playbook Nobody Handed Him
Most men in relationships are operating blind. They know their partner's mood shifts. They notice the patterns. They just have no framework for understanding them — and no tool built for them specifically.
Every period and pregnancy tracking app on the market is built for the woman. That makes sense. But it leaves her partner without context, without guidance, and without any way to translate what she's going through into something actionable for him.
HerCycle was built to fix that. Not as a surveillance tool. Not as a novelty. As a genuine daily companion for the partner who wants to show up better — and just needs to know where she is to do it.
02. The Solution
Built Around One Rule
Purple Softworks designed and engineered HerCycle entirely in-house — from product concept to finalized UI to production-ready codebase, built with React Native and Expo for iOS and Android from a single codebase. The app launches in two modes. HerCycle covers the menstrual cycle — phase tracking across all four phases, daily missions tailored to where she is, custom phase-specific advice, important date reminders with lead-time nudges, and a pattern analytics layer that surfaces recurring trends. HerPregnancy shifts to a week-by-week pregnancy companion — cravings tracking, contraction timer, milestone tracking, a daddy journal, and daily missions tailored to each trimester. Both modes share a core philosophy: one specific, actionable thing per day. The business model is a one-off purchase — no subscription, no recurring charge.
03. The Result
Done. Waiting on Apple.
Development is complete. The UI is finalized. Both modes — HerCycle and HerPregnancy — are fully built and functional. The app is pending Apple organization account approval before App Store submission. Android follows immediately after iOS launch.
HerCycle is the clearest expression of what Purple Softworks builds when there's no client brief, no scope document, and no external pressure — just a problem worth solving and the conviction to build it properly. Full product thinking, full design, full engineering. In-house, end to end.
